601 Labs — Singapore · Data & AI

I build trusted AI decision systems.

601 Labs is the workshop of Ahamed Kamal — a data & AI strategy leader and hands-on builder. Fifteen years turning ambiguous business problems into systems leadership can act on, increasingly by orchestrating frontier models rather than hand-writing every line.

// approach

How I build

Frame

Start from the decision

Not from the data. I sit with the ambiguity, work with stakeholders to define what actually needs deciding, and scope the smallest system that answers it.

Orchestrate

Direct the models

I don't hand-code. I orchestrate several frontier models to design, generate, and refine — then execute and iterate through the terminal and Colab until it works.

Ship

Make it adopted

A system that runs beats a deck that describes. I take builds through delivery, governance, and real adoption — with human judgment kept in the loop.

Personal builds
601 Labs AI Desk

Multi-model workspace

A self-built workspace that routes a single question across several frontier models and composes their answers into one usable output. Built to test how far orchestration alone can take a non-traditional developer.

AI Resume Studio

Built in an afternoon

An AI-driven resume and interview-prep tool with a multi-model "round-table" review workflow — designed, built, and shipped in a few hours. A small proof of the leverage good orchestration gives one person.

Patterns I've built in enterprise settings
Reporting automation

Hours → minutes

A human-in-the-loop GenAI workflow that compressed a recurring executive reporting task from roughly eight hours to under forty-five minutes a day, freeing analyst capacity across a regional team.

Pipeline intelligence

Anomaly detection at scale

A warehouse-native framework that flags irregular movements across a large sales pipeline and feeds target-setting and planning decisions for senior leadership.

BigQuery · Statistical detection
Adaptive forecasting

Plans that stay honest

A self-tuning forecasting approach that recalibrates daily against incoming actuals, reducing target discrepancies across regional segments.

Forecasting · Decision intelligence
Account prioritisation

Broad reach → high intent

Multi-stage propensity models scoring intent across hundreds of thousands of accounts, shifting a go-to-market motion from volume-based coverage to precision targeting.

The person behind the lab

I'm Ahamed Kamal, a data & AI strategy leader based in Singapore. Over fifteen years I've worked across enterprise BI transformation, data architecture, applied AI, forecasting, and executive decision intelligence — most recently embedded with a global cloud provider's regional Strategy & Operations team.

My strength is working from the business problem backwards: framing ambiguous questions with senior stakeholders, choosing the right data, BI, or AI approach, and driving it through design, delivery, and adoption. I'm comfortable between leadership and technical teams — and increasingly, I build the solutions myself by orchestrating AI.

601 Labs is where I keep the things I build and the things I'm learning.

Let's build something that gets adopted.
